Birthday Shaker-Lori Whitlock

Welcome Lori Whitlock Fans!  Today I have fun a Birthday Shaker Card to share!

I cut the file out of white cardstock and then did a bit of "card surgery" cutting it in half.  I did this so that I could add acetate and foam squares to the back to form a well to hold the sequins and confetti.

Simply add foam and sequins, and finish it off with the panel you cut from the file.  I then glued it to the card base.  My sentiment came from another card file of Lori's, the links are below.

Peony Get well-Poppystamps New Stamps and Dies

Welcome to Poppystamps Blog, Lezlye here today showcasing a NEW stamp set and coordinating dies.
Poppypeony
I stamped the Peony flower on Neenah solar white yardstick and cut out with the perfectly precision die.  I chose a little deeper topic markers pictured below.

Poppypeony2
I drew up a sketch and  based my card off of it. I find this helps get the card design started if you ar having a mental mojo block...
I stamped with versa mark ink on my deep red yardstick circle with the dot texture from the set.

This Nuevo Glimmer paste is neat, it is thick and acts as a colored embossed look. Just look at that yummy texture and color.

I circle cut a apiece of vellum, stamped the sentiment on a flag banner. I used some twine for texture. Final step to add some sparkle, wink of Stella and star sequins.
I hope you enjoyed seeing what I did with this Fabulous new set perfect for coloring!

Just Bling It_ Poppystamps Challenge

Welcome to the Poppystamps Challenge!  I am so happy you've stopped by and I sure hope you'll join us!  On the first of the month we announce a new Poppystamps Challenge  with a central theme.  The design team will provide samples for inspiration and you can play along through the end of the month for your chance to win.
For my card I chose one of my favorite dies the Daisy Die. I cut it out of white yardstick, glued several layers together and added a white Blog glitter paper on top. I did the same with the gold centers.

I usually make my floral designs have the elements but chose to spotlight two in the oval die.

The leaves were watercolored. I handcuff my banner for the die cut hello in glitter paper.I love layering panels as I did here for a clean simplified look.

Close up of the flowers and centers along with the added sequins.

The side view shows how it looks mounted with the foam.
Hope you have a great Holiday Weekend! Leave me a comment and I will pick a random commenter to send a prize to!
Now it's your turn!  Need a little more motivation? How about a prize?  The winner (chosen at random) of this challenge will receive a $20 Gift Certificate to spend on their favorites from the store!
You have until 12 am US EST on July 29 to link up your design here!  We'll start a new challenge and announce the winner on August  1.
Thanks for joining us!  We can't wait to see what you make! Poppystamps

Happy Birthday Marine! Poppystamps

Today I am sharing a masculine card that I made for my youngest son. He is a U.S. Marine and today is his 23 Birthday!
Poppy masculine Bday
I used the Circle Layers from Birch Press Design on my base card along with a stitched Oval die for the platform for my Daisies.
Poppy3
I used the green black and a pop of white for a very masculine feel. The  Happy Birthday streamer die I mounted to green yardstick strips.

I added a dimensional military sticker on there for him.
Have a great weekend!

Gatefold Graduation Box Card Lori Whitlock.

Hi Everyone! It's Lezlye and  I have a video tutorial for you today, working with the Hidden Box Gatefold Card . I kept pretty basic in my design, though it would be fun to experiment with adding texture and maybe some stamping on the panels.

You can see how deep the box is, but for the sake of folding and putting in an envelope I wouldn't stuff it too full.

The best thing is, you can customize your colors according to the graduate's school colors. I have included the assembly video below. In the video, I used papers from Echo Park Go See Explore by Lori Whitlock.

And here is my video:
